Verify and present
The /spot-check Skill
Observe one specific behavior in a running environment.
Read the agent instructions ↗On this page
When to use it
You need to confirm that a feature or fix works beyond a passing test suite.
Try it with your agent
/spot-check Verify that the deployed search shows a useful empty state when no skill matches. What you get
- A plan with behavior, observable signal, and method for each assertion.
- A pass/fail/skipped report with captured evidence and the target environment.
Requirements and boundaries
- A running environment that matches the change and an observable pass/fail signal.
- Appropriate browser or CLI access and, where needed, existing authorized credentials.
The plan is written before browser actions or queries. The agent confirms which build is running before checking behavior.
Checks are ad hoc and ephemeral; this skill does not create a committed regression test.
Production verification stays read-only and non-destructive. A unit fixture alone is not a real-world spot check.
Install with the official skills CLI. Version 1.7.0 requires Node.js 22.20.0 or later, npm/npx, Git, and network access. The command pins this catalogue’s source branch to master; @latest may change CLI requirements.
Installation defaults to the current project. The CLI lets you select agents and symlink or copy files; add --global only when you want a user-wide installation. Update with npx skills update. Review local changes before updating; this catalogue does not provide a backup guarantee.
Install spot-check
